Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently split with fiancee Shailene Woodley, resulting in plenty of jokes about Rodgers losing out on two rings in 2022. Rodgers reportedly “put football first” in the relationship and the pair grew distant, which is why they wound up calling it quits.

There are already plenty of questions surrounding Rodgers' future with the Packers, with a decision coming soon. There's a lot of noise surrounding a potential trade to the Denver Broncos, who have a ready-made team to win and would give Green Bay a trading partner in the other conference.

Could the Rodgers-Woodley split have any impact on his decision? PFT's Mike Florio notes that Woodley owns a house in Boulder, Colorado, so perhaps that has an impact on a potential Broncos trade.

Or perhaps it means absolutely nothing.

Again, there are several key reasons Rodgers may want to go to Denver. In addition to a talented roster, the Broncos just hired former Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett to be the new head coach, and there are other Rodgers connections in place. It would be perfectly reasonable for Rodgers to want a change after all these years in Green Bay.

Of course, Rodgers could just as easily decide to run it back with the Packers. Green Bay has mostly dominated the NFC North with Rodgers under center, and this past season saw the quarterback win MVP yet again while playing with arguably the best wide receiver in the game in Davante Adams. While the playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers was a disaster, a Rodgers return would likely make the Packers the favorite in the division once again in 2022.

We'll just have to wait and see what he decides as he does his research on his future.
