The Jacksonville Jaguars Week 17 matchup against the New England Patriots is going to be a tough contest. New England has played well this year, while Jacksonville has done the exact opposite. We take a look at this Jaguars-Patriots game with some of our Jaguars' Week 17 predictions in mind.
The defense has been the bane of the Jaguars' existence this year. They can't slow anybody down and haven't shown any improvement whatsoever. Jacksonville has a chance to stun the Patriots on Sunday, but it's going to take a complete team effort to do so.
Offensively, the Jaguars have been a hot mess. Regardless, they aim to bounce back and shock the Patriots on Sunday. To do so, the entire team must step up their game. Laquon Treadwell has been the most consistent pass option in Jacksonville and could be in for a big day. Additionally, with James Robinson out, Dare Ogunbowale steps in and could stun New England. However, all eyes are on Trevor Lawrence to see if he can finally have a solid performance.
With that said, here are four bold Jaguars Week 17 predictions for their matchup against the Patriots.

Jaguars Week 17 Predictions
4. Jaguars defense forces 3 turnovers
This might be unrealistic, but football is an unpredictable sport. Mac Jones has been the best rookie quarterback this year but seems to have hit a wall lately. The Jaguars must pressure Jones and show him different looks often. Confusing the young star is their best route to victory.
That's much easier said than done, as Bill Belichick always has his team prepared. For the Jaguars to keep within reach, the defense must force multiple turnovers in this game. If they can do that, then Jacksonville will put themselves in a position to stun New England late in the fourth quarter.

With DJ Chark out for the year and Laviska Shenault not living up to expectations, Laquon Treadwell has emerged as the most consistent receiver in Jacksonville. His team will need a big performance out of him in Week 17. If he can do that, then he could secure a spot on the Jaguars' roster next season.
2. Dare Ogunbowale goes for 75+ rushing yards and 1 touchdown
The injury bug went rampant in the Jaguars' backfield this year. James Robinson tore his Achilles, which doesn't bode well for his future outlook. Dare Ogunbowale stepped in for Robinson and actually played well. New England struggles at stopping the run, which means we could see a great game out of Jacksonville's backup running back.
1. Trevor Lawrence finally gets his act together and throws 2 touchdowns
It has been a disastrous season for Trevor Lawrence. So much so, some are questioning his career outlook in the NFL. Luckily for him, he still has time to bounce back, especially with Urban Meyer out of the picture. He has a tough matchup against the Patriots, but the Jaguars' rookie quarterback might have a few tricks up his sleeves.
We'll see how this game plays out, but Lawrence has a chance to perform well against a stellar defense. The Patriots are great in pass coverage, so if Lawrence can record a couple of passing touchdowns on Sunday, the Jaguars will regain some confidence in their rookie quarterback.
