Almost everyone on the Jacksonville Jaguars had a disappointing 2018 season, including Andrew Norwell. Norwell was the team's big free agent acquisition last offseason, but things didn't go as expected. Norwell inked five-year, $66.5 million contract which at the time was a record for a guard, but didn't live up to expectations in his first year in Jacksonville.
Norwell had been one of the best linemen in the league with the Panthers, so it was very surprising. He was banged up and missed five games due to injury, and wasn't himself when he was on the field. Speaking to the media recently, Norwell took full responsibility for his down season and said he wouldn't let it happen again, via Phillip Heiman of Jacksonville.com.

The team has high hopes for 2019, and Norwell is dwelling on his disappointing year.
“You’ve just got to learn from the mistakes and correct them and move on,” Norwell said. “It’s a new year and it’s a new team. You’ve just got to look forward. You can’t look in the rear-view mirror because everybody else has a new team. We’re just looking forward to this year and this time,” Norwell said.
The team is only one season removed from a run to the AFC Championship Game, and now they have Nick Foles in the fold. If they want to make it back there they'll need the offense to step up, and Norwell will be a huge part of that. He'll also be tasked with helping to keep Foles upright, and Norwell should be primed for a bounce-back year.
