Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Myles Jack has made a lot of money playing football, but he's not staying one-dimensional. The UCLA product is operating a successful candle business on the side, per Tess Demeyer of USA Today.
The Jaguars star only started making candles this offseason, but business is already booming.
“Less than two months into his first entrepreneurial venture, Jack is ‘overwhelmed by orders' for his hand-poured candles,” Demeyer writes.
“I always take baths with candles … so I made my own little lavender candle. I lit it, and I was reading in the bath, and I was like, ‘Oh, OK. This candle’s actually all right,” Jack said when explaining the origins of his business.
Jack explained that his teammates dismissed the idea at first, but now they're all trying to hop on the bandwagon.

He started off taking orders through Instagram but soon had to upgrade to a real website since orders were pouring in. Jack was apparently inspired by a commercial showing former NFL players Brian Orakpo and Michael Griffin operating their own bakery.
It's a great story, and Jack isn't satisfied yet. “It’s only going to get bigger and bigger,” he said. Given his success so far, it's hard to doubt that.
