The Los Angeles Chargers got a big win Sunday vs the New York Giants, 37-21. In the win, they got solid performances from their back up wide receivers Jalen Guyton and Joshua Palmer. Both players went over 65 yards receiving with a touchdown each. The Chargers were forced into that situation after news that Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen was inactive this week after contracting COVID-19.
After the game, Chargers head coach Brandon Staley addressed Keenan Allen's ability to play this Thursday night.
Chargers’ HC Brandon Staley said he expects WR Keenan Allen, who missed Sunday’s game vs. the Giants due to COVID, to be ready for Thursday night vs. the Chiefs. “Yes, I think so, barring a setback,” Staley said.

Staley said the expects Keenan Allen to be ready to play against the Kansas City Chiefs Thursday. It is a game with massive implications for both the AFC West division as well as the wild card standings.
After Sunday's win, the Chargers improved to 8-5. They are one game behind the Chiefs in the AFC West; however, they beat the Chiefs earlier this season. So, if they can beat them again Thursday, they will have won the season series and will lead the division.
