While the Aaron Rodgers dilemma with the Green Bay Packers may be settled for the 2021 season, the superstar quarterback made some difficult decisions in the offseason. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Rodgers revealed the truth about the retirement rumors that floated around and commented on his future with the Packers beyond the 2021 season.
Aaron Rodgers said he really did consider retirement. He really enjoy this past offseason getting away from it all.

This one is super interesting for many reasons. First, Rodgers is coming off a year in which he won the MVP and helped get the Packers to the NFC Championship. This isn't an aging quarterback in decline, it's a superstar still playing at the top level. It likely shows how frustrated he had grown with the Packers front office to even consider retiring.

Could Aaron Rodgers be with the #Packers next season?
"I don't know. I think things in that direction have not changed. There's a lot of moving pieces and there will be some conversations after the season."

This isn't anything new and shouldn't be surprising. Rodgers is getting his contract and the language within it changed so that he can control his future after the 2021 season. If he still feels the same about the Packers organization after this year, he'll likely demand a trade that the Green Bay would have to grant to him. This quote from Rodgers on Wednesday sheds some light on how fractured his relationship with the front office has become.
If this is the last go with the Packers, Rodgers has a great team around him and a legitimate chance to bring the Lombardi Trophy home. While the year may bring upon some awkwardness given all that has transpired, Green Bay is still right in the mix to win it all with the reigning MVP back under center for at least one more go.
