The Los Angeles Rams have vastly improved their team on both sides of the football during the NFL offseason thus far. The franchise that took a giant leap last season is looking to do the same next season with quarterback Jared Goff as excited as anyone with his new weapon in the passing game in wide receiver Brandin Cooks.

Unlike like last season with Sammy Watkins, who was acquired in a trade in August of 2017, Goff has a chance to build chemistry with Cooks right away. Goff talked about the opportunity to do just that with his new teammate, via ESPN's Alden Gonzalez.

“It’s all rhythm. It’s all timing,” Goff said Monday, which marked the start of the Rams' offseason program. “I think any time you can get this extra time with guys like that, especially the deep stuff, getting open — I look forward to working with him, and I know he’s excited.”

With the addition of Cooks to an already potent offense, the Rams could become the best all-around team in the NFL in 2018. Although Goff is only in his third year and there's no telling how these new additions on both sides of the football will ultimately work out, the team's brass has put the franchise in place to succeed immediately as a potential Super Bowl title contender next season.

As for Cooks, who is coming off consecutive seasons in which he played with Drew Brees and Tom Brady, the wideout can teach Goff what he's learned from playing with two of the best quarterbacks in the history of the league. Both players stand to benefit from this situation as the Rams look to take the next step in 2018.
