The Los Angeles Rams have been getting very familiar with the NFL's COVID-19 reserve list this week. Their need to place more and more players on the list has necessitated a change in their schedule, as their matchup with the Seattle Seahawks was rescheduled from Sunday to Tuesday.
The Rams activated six players, including Odell Beckham Jr. and Darrell Henderson Jr., from the list but still have 22 players, including Jalen Ramsey, Tyler Higbee and Von Miller, on the reserve list. Only one other team, the Cleveland Browns, has at least 20 players on the reserve list.
Against a Seahawks team that has been looking stronger lately, these absences could be costly, especially since the Rams have shown they can play way down to competition this season. While the Rams continue to prepare for Tuesday's contest, players explained the changes that have been enacted for practices.
Defensive lineman Greg Gaines called this week “chaotic” and described an instance where he was told to go home from the team facility. Los Angeles has had players practice individually until Saturday.
Rams DL Greg Gaines talking about the chaotic nature of this week, said he went to the team's facility on Tuesday to get treatment and told to go home. Players have been "on call" until today while navigating reconfigured schedule.

Matthew Stafford talked about the hectic changes of how practices have looked this week, too. Los Angeles' quarterback stressed, though, that the team was still able to practice well amid all the changes.
Rams QB Matthew Stafford on this week, said it was a "different feeling" showing up to practice today and "half the guys you're used to seeing just aren't here."
"But once the ball is put down, I feel like we do a great job eliminating the distractions," he said.

Sounds like number of Rams who are not on reserve/COVID list were at least able to practice outdoors in some capacity today, as Stafford is indicating. https://t.co/mV6ur6rLjP

In these uncertain times, the Rams are hunting for a division crown. They won a tense Monday-night game against the Arizona Cardinals to pull within one game of the NFC West leaders. Without some of their key players, they will have to persevere against their divisional rival.
