The Los Angeles Rams suffered a blow as star defensive end Aaron Donald recently went down with a rib injury against the Seattle Seahawks. After having a week's worth of rest, the ‘Terminator' will be ready to roll against the Green Bay Packers, barring any unforeseen circumstances, as per Rams head coach Sean McVay via Adam Schefter.

Donald headed to the locker rooms and left early in the third quarter of their Wild Card game against the Seahawks while holding onto his ribs. After diagnosis, it appeared that he suffered a torn rib cartilage from the on-field collision, via NFL‘s Ian Rapoport.

The Rams' defensive unit stepped up and picked up the slack as they carried on without their leader on the field. Los Angeles dealt Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson with a total of five sacks in the game and restricted him from gaining any momentum under center. He only produced 174 yards on an inefficient 11-of-27 passing clip and two passing touchdowns.

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey also tried his best to limit the production of Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf who is often the primary target of Wilson. The sophomore standout still managed to notch 96 yards on five receptions and two touchdowns despite the airtight defense by Ramsey.

Ultimately, Metcalf's heroics were still not enough to grab the win for his team as the Rams cruised to a 30-20 victory to advance in the next round of the postseason.

Head coach Sean McVay is hoping that his defensive unit will step up once again on Saturday. Despite Aaron Donald not being in the pink of health, the Rams are still going to aim for a victory against the Packers in the divisional round of the NFC bracket.
