The Seattle Seahawks are in full rebuild mode after being a perennial Super Bowl title contender in the NFC over the past half-decade. At this point, it seems the team is content with parting ways with their big-name players except for superstar quarterback Russell Wilson.

One star player left in Seattle with Wilson is safety Earl Thomas. The All-Pro has indicated his desire to sign a contract extension with the team or be traded. Although there have reportedly been trade talks with a few teams, nothing has come to fruition, and now it appears Thomas may be done with Seattle altogether, according to Newy Scruggs of NBC Sports Radio.

The Dallas Cowboys seem to be the logical destination for Thomas if the two teams can see eye-to-eye on a trade. The Seahawks have been rumored to be asking for a massive return in a deal for the veteran safety, but Dallas hasn't budged in their discussions.

Along with the Cowboys, the Oakland Raiders have emerged as a potential candidate to trade for the 29-year-old. A rumor surfaced on this week that Thomas approached owner Mark Davis in Las Vegas recently and expressed a desire to be traded to Oakland if he can get a deal done.

Both Dallas and Oakland could use the upgrade on the defensive side of the football with Thomas being an ideal addition to the secondary. The real question is whether the Raiders or Cowboys are willing to part with substantial assets in exchange for the defensive star or if the Seahawks change their request for a massive return for a player that wants out of Seattle.
