The New York Knicks announced that Mitchell Robinson (left ankle injury management), Josh Hart (lumbar spasms), and Curtis Sliwa (shot five times in the back of a yellow cab in 1992) are all listed as OUT against the Cleveland Cavaliers

Mitch prolly picked up an injury in preseason and the Knicks are being vague abt it, which is par for the course w how they've operated the last 5 yrs Feel like this is pretty straightforward. They're not suddenly gonna become forthright on medical stuff bc they changed HCs lol.

On Josh Hart, he is running and doing on-court work but not scrimmaging. Like with Mitchell Robinson, Knicks medical team is taking cautious approach with Hart. They will continue to see where Hart is each day after his workout. If Hart’s back continues to progress in right direction, Knicks will add more to his workouts every day and monitor his progress, per league source. Knicks will be down two rotation players to open the season. Again, not ideal for a team looking to gel under a new head coach.

Shortly after Josh Hart's preseason back injury nearly three weeks ago, @IanBegley had heard that the injury was not serious and the expectation was that Hart would be ready for opening night Now, it's harder to say "I just assumed that he would be back by now based on what I had heard in the aftermath of that back injury. You have to question whether you're going to have him Wednesday and how bad that injury actually is - if it was as minor as it was described in the aftermath, he would've been practicing by now and scrimmaging by now at the very least. Maybe it's a game of possum that the Knicks are playing with Josh Hart and with the Cavs and he'll be out there and ready to go on Wednesday...but it's concerning."
