With the season officially over, the NFL rumor has picked up some serious steam. Houston Texans star quarterback Deshaun Watson has been speculated to be traded since the last offseason. Recently, it has been reported that Watson has expressed interest in potentially playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Minnesota Vikings. His agent steps in to clear the air.

According to Josina Anderson, Watson's agent claims “there's no truth” in the Texans' quarterback being interested in the Buccaneers or Vikings. Instead, it seems as though Deshaun Watson is focused on clearing his name of the multiple sexual assault allegations against him.

This does make tremendous sense, as there is no certainty that Deshaun Watson plays next year, regardless of whether he's traded or not. He's currently undergoing several lawsuits that have yet to determine the outcome. If he's found guilty, it's hard to imagine any team wanting to reach a deal with the Texans, unless Houston decides to take a lower offer.

For now, it's a stalemate. Deshaun Watson is focusing on his legal situation while the Texans and the NFL await the outcome. There is still a chance Watson is suspended next year as well, which plays another factor in his trade value amongst the league. Either way, his agent wants everyone to know that his client is focused on handling the sexual assault cases rather than expressing interest in the Buccaneers and Vikings.

We'll see how it all plays out as more questions should be answered throughout the upcoming offseason. The Texans hope Watson can clear his name before the NFL Draft, as the front office is looking for a massive haul in return. However, if Deshaun Watson is found guilty, all of these trade rumors could be all for naught. Keep an eye on Houston and Watson, as more information should be released in the coming months.
