It was a brutal evening for the Washington Football Team as they got demoralized by the Dallas Cowboys. This game got out of hand quickly, as the Football Team failed to recover whatsoever. It was such a mess, that early on in the matchup, Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne were seen in a fight on the sidelines. The two defensive players open up about what transpired.

It's been a rough stretch for Washington, as the team has lost three consecutive games in a row. Getting routed by the Cowboys was just the cherry on top of what has been a frustrating season for the Football Team. According to The Athletic, Jonathan Allen was asked about the scuffle on the sidelines. He stated:

“I don't think it takes a rocket scientist — if you look at how that game went, I mean, emotions are hot. Things are hot. Things happen.”

Allen and Payne have known each other since their days playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Washington defenders are very familiar with each other. However, they lost their cool on Sunday night and it seems the duo aren't taking the brawl too seriously. In fact, Daron Payne plays down the entire argument, stating, “I mean, you got brothers? Y'all fight, don't you? Shit happens,” per The Athletic.

With two games left in the season and the playoffs a mere dream, Washington still has time to finish the year strong. Getting back in the win column in the final stretch would generate some momentum for next year. Simultaneously, the Football Team would end the season on a high note.

We'll see how it plays out though, as Washington takes on the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. Look for the Football Team to do everything they can to defeat their divisional rivals before calling the 2021 season a wrap.
