After playing Roman Reigns' music to distract Riddle in a tag team bout versus the Usos that also featured Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn was named an honorary Uso and given a task that's much easier said than done: Beat Riddle and banish him from SmackDown forever.

Earning the main event bout in a contest that also featured an Intercontinental Championship match, the conditions were simple; if Riddle won, he got a title match against Roman Reigns for the honor of his mentor/tag partner Randy Orton. And if he lost? Well, Riddle would be banished from SmackDown forever; presumably to total away forever as the top babyface on Raw… well, at least until Cody Rhodes returns in nine months from injury.

Right from the top, Zayn tried to get in his foes head, wearing “Bloodline” merch and forgoing his typical music for something his impromptu manager, Paul Heyman, would approve of. This, understandably, didn't faze Riddle, who looked about as happy-go-lucky as he does in every match and was able to take his foe to town with a move set heavily influenced by Orton's greatest hits. After catching Zayn in the face with a big knee and after exchanging some moves back and forth, Riddle hit an RKO out of nowhere when his opponent attempted a helluva kick, and after three quick hits to the canvas, the stage was set: Riddle has earned a title match on SmackDown versus the premier championship in professional wrestling and fans the world over will hopefully get to see the return of the “Tribal Cheif” in the not too distant future.

Bad news for Riddle but good news for everyone else indeed.
