10 years after Lamar Odom suffered a drug overdose, he is retelling his story with a new detail.

On Jan. 21, Odom sat down with the Australian morning radio show, the Kyle & Jackie O Show, and recanted the traumatic experience.

“I do remember, but I don’t really remember because I was in a coma,” said Odom around the one hour and 29 minute mark of the interview. “I had 12 strokes and six heart attacks when I was underneath seeing all black.”

Odom was married to Khloe Kardashian at the time and remembers signing the divorce papers prior to entering the brothel.

“I remember on my way to that d*mn brothel, I remember being upset that I didn’t have any cocaine to take to the brothel … I had just signed the divorce papers and I thought I was just gonna go all the way in,” he
continued.

The two-time NBA champion suspects that he was drugged upon entering the brothel, a new revelation that the former athlete hadn't shared before.

“I don't know what they were able to slip into my drink or what the f***,” he added. “When I woke up, I couldn't walk or talk … It took some months of rehabilitation and a lot of prayers, a lot of determination.”

Now that that is behind him, he is focusing on helping others.

“I think now my mission is probably to help people who have the same problem who couldn't help themselves be able to understand addiction and understand that it's a brain disease,” he continued.

“So could you imagine if your brain was diseased and you kept feeding it poison, how would you act out? And I think it's important for people to really understand and educate themselves,” he concluded.

Odom has made headlines in recent weeks due to his appearance in the season six trailer of The Kardashians. In the trailer, Odom is seen talking to Khloe, who he was married to from 2009 – 2013. They got divorced in 2016 after Khloe paused the filing due to Odom's overdose.

Later in the interview,  Kyle Sandilands asks, “You’re in love with her still. You want to be with her or not? You want her back? You can admit it.”

“I don’t care,” Odom responded. “I think it’s healthy. I think it’s healthy sometimes to like, you know, move on. You know, in a healthy way. Like I said, it’d be a blessing just to be a friend, just to be around her.”

Lamar denied being romantically linked to Khloe now and that, “It would be a blessing just to be her friend,” denying that they are back together.

“You know, so much time has passed, and people have, you know, changed,” he added. “I think for the better.”

Khloe has also spoken up about their relationship and where they currently stand.

“I miss him, all the time,” Kardashian said in a Keeping Up With The Kardashians episode in the past per E! Online. “But not in a place that I want to get back with him.”

The new season of The Kardashians premieres on February 6.
