The Jacksonville Jaguars suddenly have a lot of talent on their roster, specifically with Trevor Lawrence running the show for the next few seasons as he is set to kick off his rookie campaign. There is excitement buzzing around the team for the first time in a couple of years, although a recent injury to wide receiver DJ Chark has Lawrence and new head coach Urban Meyer a bit concerned.

Chark has been one of the pleasant surprises from Jaguars' training camp early on and underwent surgery. While he is expected to return by the first game, one has to wonder how effective he will be and if the injury will be fully healed in time or not.

The four-year pro regressed a bit in 2020, finishing the year with 706 yards on 53 catches and five trips to the end zone. On the other hand, the Jaguars quarterback situation was an absolute mess, so perhaps that had something to do with his numbers declining from the 1000-yard campaign he had in 2019.

With Lawrence and Meyer in town, this offense is set to be much better than in previous years, and Chark is one weapon that Lawrence loves. Hopefully, Chark can be back in time for opening week and Lawrence can have a reliable target to throw to on a young Jaguars squad.
