Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is taking the hit after his team blew their chance at an AFC Playoff spot on Sunday. Lawrence and the Jaguars lost to the Tennessee Titans in Week 18 of the NFL season. The team lost five of six games to end the campaign.

Lawrence failed to get into the end zone on a fourth down play late in the game. He tried to sneak the ball in from the 1-yard line but didn't get the result he wanted, causing the team to turn the ball over on downs.

“If you do it you better score and I didn't,” Lawrence told reporters after the game, per NFL Network. Lawrence also threw interceptions on back-to-back possessions that turned out to be a dagger for the Jaguars, who bowed 28-20 to the lowly Titans. The loss leaves the Jaguars with a 9-8 record and on the outside looking in for the AFC Playoffs. The Steelers and Bills are headed to the postseason instead.

Lawrence finished the game with 280 yards and two touchdown passes, to go with his two interceptions. The Jaguars went with Lawrence in the Week 18 battle after using C.J. Beathard in their week 17 win over the Carolina Panthers. Lawrence participated in practice this week despite having a shoulder sprain.

Lawrence finished his season with 4,016 passing yards, along with 21 touchdowns. Lawrence threw for more than 4,000 yards for the second straight season. He threw 14 interceptions that certainly didn't help him or his team, especially in the last six games.

The Titans end their season at 6-11 following the victory.
