After flaming the “bad” Marvel phase we are in, Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis has taken accountability for her actions and apologized to Kevin Feige and Co.

On August 1, Curtis took to X (formerly Twitter) to walk back her previous comments. She has even reached out personally to Feige, the president of Marvel Studios.

“My comments about Marvel were stupid and I will do better,” Curtis began. “I've reached out to Kevin Feige and will no longer play in that mud slinging sandbox of competition we call the internet nor will I engage in the toilet paper promotion or game play that is designed for clicks not content or conversation.”

The quotes in question were from a recent interview with MTV. Host Josh Horowitz asked various celebrities which “phase” they are in. The answer is Phase Five, but the answers were all over the place.

Without any hesitation, Curtis quickly replied, “Bad.” She even looked at the camera and seemed to stand by her comments. Obviously, Curtis is not a fan of how the comments came off. But she did say it and has taken accountability.

Jamie Lee Curtis' ongoing feud with Marvel

Jamie Lee Curtis and Marvel have never been on the best terms. Previously, Curtis compared Everything Everywhere All at Once to Doctor Strange, claiming the A24 movie “out marvels any Marvel movie they put out there.”

A couple of months later, Curtis clarified her comments to People and seemingly threw her name out to be cast in an MCU project.

“Honestly, I can't imagine that they will ever come calling because I kicked up some dust,” said Curtis. “But I'm a collaborating artist. I work with a lot of people on a lot of different things, and if the role was interesting and if I could bring what I do to it, of course I would [work with Marvel]. What am I going to do, say no? Of course!

“But, I would find it hard to imagine that Marvel's going to figure something to do with a 64-year-old woman,” Curtis added.

Marvel fans will have to wait and see if Curtis' apology lands her an MCU role in the future. Deadpool and Wolverine proved that Marvel is still king in pop culture. It has already grossed over $540 million in under a week.
