The reaction from around the MLB world was immediate and drew drastically different responses. Some believe that the suspension is far too harsh after all criminal charges were dropped against him while others think MLB got this one right.
Sports show host Clay Travis shared this thoughts on the Bauer ruling.
“I mean, MLB has suspended Trevor Bauer for a year for one woman’s accusation. The NFL hasn’t done anything to Deshaun Watson for 24 women’s accusations. The cases aren’t very similar. I’ve always been anti all leagues suspending players for non-sports related issues. Still am. But don’t see how Bauer isn’t allowed to play at this point.”
Fox Sports MLB analyst Ben Verlander shared an emoji that conveys his thoughts on the situation.

With this two-year ban from the league, Trevor Bauer won’t be able to pitch in the league until he’s 34 years old. On top of that, you have to wonder if any team would sign him. As of right now, it appears his MLB career is over.
