The Jacksonville Jaguars' training camp is underway. Still boasting one of the NFL's best defenses and an offense devoid of Blake Bortles, they are, at this point, a contender out of the AFC South. However, before the season starts, some players will be gone. We've seen cuts all offseason of big-time players and starters. Now, it's time to finish those off with some more minor ones in late July and early August practice.

3. Thomas Rawls – RB

It seems like days ago that the 25-year-old Thomas Rawls broke out for the Seattle Seahawks and looked the part of Marshawn Lynch's heir apparent. As an undrafted rookie free agent out of Central Michigan, the back exploded onto the scene in 2015 to the tune of 830 rushing yards and four touchdowns on a league-leading 5.6 yards per carry. Then the wheels fell off.

Injuries and regression halted Rawls' tenure in Seattle in his final year there. He signed with the New York Jets and then the Cincinnati Bengals, but couldn't regain his footing. Now on the Jaguars, he's hoping to do so. Unfortunately, Leonard Fournette is in place, and so are free-agent additions Alfred Blue and Benny Cunningham. All three should be considered locks. Ryquell Armstead was a fifth-round draft pick. With four backs in place, it's hard to envision a spot for the former Seahawk.

2. Tanner Lee/Alex McGough – QB

The Jaguars have found their long-term option at quarterback with Nick Foles. Who is his backup? Gardner Minshew, an Air Raid product of Mike Leach's Washington State Cougars, may be that answer. Despite his rookie status, Minshew has impressed in practices. He earned the pro-ready backup tag before the draft for his accuracy and cerebral play.

With Foles and Minshew on-board, many believe the Jaguars will carry just two quarterbacks into 2019. I am on that bandwagon. This means both Tanner Lee and Alex McGough may be on their way out. Lee, a sixth-round pick in 2016, and McGough, an undrafted product this year, haven't taken an NFL snap. If the Jaguars do roll with three quarterbacks, a veteran could sign as the second backup to Foles.

1. Ben Koyack – TE

Ben Koyack's future with the Jaguars depends on a few variables. First, there are three givens in the tight end grouping: Josh Oliver, Geoff Swaim, and James O'Shaughnessy. Second, it depends if the team will bring in five or six wide receivers. Considering Marqise Lee, Chris Conley, DeDe Westbrook, D.J. Chark, Keelan Cole, and Terrelle Pryor Jr. are on the roster, it looks like they will go with six.

With a projected six receivers and three tight ends on the roster, the Jaguars would be pushing their limits with 10 pass-catchers. Koyack is the obvious roster cut to make room for others. Though listed as a tight end, he's more of an H-back. New offensive coordinator John DeFilippo may go away from the position as a whole. Essentially, Koyack's predicted cut comes down to numbers. Of all the places on the Jaguars' roster where many spots are already spoken for, this is one of them.
