The Los Angeles Rams won Super Bowl LVI in exciting fashion. It was a crazy game that had just about everything. But in the end, Matthew Stafford led his team for the game winning touchdown drive in the closing minutes. With the win, Stafford made some history.

Stafford has lost 95 career NFL games. That is the most losses in NFL history among quarterbacks when winning their first Super Bowl championship.

Much of that obviously came while a member of the Detroit Lions. Stafford was drafted first overall by the Lions in 2009 out of Georgia. Despite showing he had the skill and ability to play at a high level in this league, he had been considered underwhelming for the lack of team success.

In his 11 seasons in Detroit, Stafford only made three playoff appearances. He did not win a single time, creating the perception of many people that he didn't have that winning gene. However, he put all of that criticism to bed this season.

In his first year in Los Angeles, the Rams QB went 4-0 in the playoffs, throwing nine touchdowns to three interceptions. All of that culminated in the Super Bowl victory. The Rams found themselves trailing 20-16 in the final minutes of the game. Stafford led the Rams on a 79-yard touchdown drive. He played with poise, confidence and was accurate with the football.

Once and for all, Stafford has put the overrated talk to bed.
