We've all run out of superlatives to describe Stephen Curry at this point. The Golden State Warriors superstar is playing at such an elite level that sometimes, it feels almost inexplicable. For retired Cavs big man Channing Frye, however, the former NBA champ resorted to a famed comic book superhero to try and put into words what Curry is doing right now.

In a recent appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, Frye explained why he thinks Steph is superhuman:

“Steph’s greatest superpower is his skill,” Frye said, via Jacob Gijy of Essentially Sports. “Steph is like ironman, like he built himself, like he worked on that, and he has this innate ability, like shooting is something that everyone can do yet he does it so well.”

While it does sound funny at first, Frye's assessment here totally makes sense. Stephen Curry was one of the most underrated players in the league when he started off his career, and nobody ever imagined that he was going to be who he is today. Steph relentlessly worked on his game to be the best version of himself he can be, and right now, he's reaping the benefits of his labor.

Being one of the top players in the NBA today, it's easy to assume that Curry was born with his shooting prowess — that it comes from his genes. While this may be partially true, it's also unfair to discredit all the hard work Steph put in to become who he is today — the greatest shooter of all time.
