The Washington football team lost the College Football Playoff national title game. Then, Kalen DeBoer left to take over at Alabama after Nick Saban retired. Then Jedd Fisch went from Arizona to Washington to be the new head coach.

Things have changed quickly for the Washington football program, and the transfer portal is suddenly full of former Huskies. On Wednesday, center Parker Brailsford and OL Geirean Hatchett, who were both starters, entered the transfer portal, per Pete Thamel of ESPN.

‘Washington starting center Parker Brailsford is also in the transfer portal. He was second-team All-Pac-12 this year and started every game for Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line. (First two starts were at guard.'

Julius Buelow, another OL, also entered the portal and six Washington football players have entered on Wednesday. In a stunning turn of events, the entire starting offense is either in the portal or headed to the NFL Draft.

With Michael Penix Jr. Dillon Johnson, Rome Odunze, Ja'Lynn Polk and others headed to the NFL, the rest are in the portal after DeBoer's departure. After an undefeated regular season, a Pac-12 title, and a Sugar Bowl win over Texas, the Washington football program will look much different in 2024.

This comes less than two weeks after they lost to Michigan in the national title game, but that is how quickly things can change in the world of college football. It will be interesting to see what Jedd Fisch does in the portal after the mass exodus of players since the changes.
