Porn star Stormy Daniels has postponed a scheduled interview with Piers Morgan, citing security issues. The interview, which was set to air on Morgan's talk show, was billed as a “global exclusive” and was set to delve into Daniels' relationship with former president Donald Trump. The postponement comes on the heels of news that Trump is expected to be indicted by a New York grand jury in connection with hush money payments made to Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal, per National Review.

While Donald Trump has repeatedly denied wrongdoing with regard to the payments, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office has been investigating the matter. The $130,000 payment made to Stormy Daniels and the $150,000 payment made to McDougal are believed to have been made to keep them from speaking out about their alleged affairs with the former president ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Piers Morgan, who was apparently blindsided by the postponement, took to Twitter to express his concern for Daniels. He wrote, “Unfortunately, Stormy Daniels has had to suddenly postpone our interview tonight due to some security issues that have arisen. Hope she's OK.”

Daniels herself has yet to comment on the postponement. However, the night before the scheduled interview, she hinted that she had been celebrating the news of Trump's indictment by drinking champagne. She also suggested that the news had prompted a surge in sales of her branded merchandise and autograph requests.

It is unclear whether the postponement of the interview is related to the news of Trump's imminent indictment or if it is due to other factors. However, it is worth noting that Daniels has been the subject of threats and harassment in the past due to her public statements about her alleged affair with Trump. In 2018, she was even forced to cancel a number of performances at strip clubs after receiving threats to her safety.
