Last year, in Dec. 2025, following his dominant victory over Jake Paul in the USA, Anthony Joshua went on a vacation with his friends to Nigeria. However, things took a fatal turn when he and his friends fell victim to a road accident. While Joshua escaped with minor injuries, both of his friends lost their lives.

After spending several weeks in grief, Joshua was spotted in public sharing a joyful moment, high-fiving youngsters at a soccer session in Hertfordshire, England. On his recovery road currently, Joshua was also recently reported to be on his way back to the boxing ring.

While boxing promoter Eddie Hearn shared his predictions on Joshua's in-ring comeback, “The Watford Warrior” has not yet officially commented or addressed any such rumors. Although he has regularly updated his fanbase with his current life.

In the early hours of Thursday, Feb 26, 2026, in the UK, Joshua shared a series of his training and workout videos on Snapchat. He was seen engaged in a boxing sparring session with his trainer, practicing his blocks and jabs.

Joshua, 36, holds an impressive 29-4 record in boxing. He also earned himself an Olympic gold medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. He also shared a few more pictures remembering his now late friends, Sina Ghami and Kevin Latif Ayodele.

Last month, in Jan. 2026, UFC President Dana White appeared for an interview with Complex, where he shared his verdict on the Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul fight. “It's crazy that that fight was even allowed to happen. Crazy,” White said.

“I mean, I don't know. As long as people keep wanting to pay and watch him fight, I guess he can keep doing it. It's just not what I do. You know what I mean? To even comment on it, I think everybody that was involved in that thing should be embarrassed, number one. And number two, it's just not what I am into.”
