The New York Giants got a much-needed win in Week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks. That victory lifted New York to 2-3 and gives them a chance to become .500 with a win against Cincinnati on Sunday Night Football. What's more impressive is that the Giants beat the Seahawks without rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers. Unfortunately, it seems that New York will have to wait at least one more week to get their star receiver back in action.
The Giants have ruled out wide receiver Malik Nabers for Week 6, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. New York will be without its top offensive weapon on Sunday Night Football when they take on a desperate Cincinnati team.
Nabers is dealing with a concussion that he suffered in Week 4 against the Cowboys. He will now miss two games in a row while in the NFL's concussion protocol.
This is obviously unfortunate news for the Giants going into what feels like a must-win game on Sunday night.
Nabers has been a sensational rookie receiver, logging 386 receiving yards and three touchdowns through four games. Nabers is exactly the type of alpha wide receiver that New York hoped they were getting when they picked him sixth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Giants will have to lean on Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, and Jalin Hyatt at wide receiver to make up for the loss of Nabers. They may also get rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. more involved after his big game against the Seahawks.
Who will rise up to fill the void left by Malik Nabers on Giants offense?

Now that Malik Nabers is confirmed out for Sunday Night Football, the question becomes who will step up on New York's offense?
Article Continues BelowIf last week's victory over the Seahawks is a blueprint, then it will require a complete group effort from the entire offense. The stars in Week 5 were Daniel Jones, Tyrone Tracy Jr., and Darius Slayton.
Jones had an okay day passing the football, throwing for 257 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also added 11 carries for 38 yards on the ground. Those aren't great numbers, but he kept the offense on schedule and did not turn the ball over.
Rookie RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. had a breakout performance on the ground, running 18 times for 129 yards at a 7.2 yards per carry clip. The Giants should have Devin Singletary back in the mix so expect New York to run the ball early and often.
Ultimately, the answer might end up being the defense.
The Bengals have one of the league's worst defenses, so the Giants should be able to move the ball one way or another on offense. However, Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase pose a huge threat to a shaky New York secondary.
New York has been ferocious when attacking opposing QBs through five weeks, but they will be without Kayvon Thibodeaux for multiple weeks. Hopefully the combination of Dexter Lawrence, Brian Burns, and Azeez Ojulari can cause enough havoc to rattle Burrow.
If that does not happen, it will be a long day for the Giants.
